I have completed my BS in Computer Science from Iqra University. During my studies, my core areas of interest were Data Communication and Networks, Virtualization, and Cloud Computing.
At Fauji Fertilizer Bin Qasim Limited (FFBL), I have worked on the UniFi Controller, performing MAC address binding, configuring UniFi Access Points, and implementing port security on switches to enhance network security and reliability.
At IBL Group, I worked on the Network Revamp Project, configuring 28 Huawei access switches, 3 distribution switches, and 1 core switch, along with a Fortinet firewall to set up static routes, high availability (HA), and security policies. I implemented SD-WAN for redundancy using DIA and RIA, managed the UniFi controller, and configured the DHCP server with scopes for 30+ VLANs. I also managed and configured Jira ITSM, setting up the portal and ticketing system to enhance IT service management workflows. My daily tasks included troubleshooting network and PoE issues, configuring switches, managing the UniFi controller, and handling firewall configurations. Additionally, I created ACLs at both the switch and firewall levels to ensure network security and traffic control. I configured Avaya phone extensions and managed connectivity for over 100+ IP phones, ensuring seamless communication across the organization. These responsibilities helped maintain reliable network operations, optimized IT service delivery, and ensured smooth telecommunication systems.
Network Revamp Project at IBL Group During my tenure at IBL Group, I contributed to a significant Network Revamp Project aimed at enhancing the organization's network infrastructure. This project involved the configuration of 28 Huawei access switches, 3 distribution switches, and 1 core switch, ensuring a seamless and efficient network topology. I also configured the Fortinet firewall, setting up static routes for internet traffic, enabling high availability (HA), and creating comprehensive security policies. To ensure network redundancy and reliability, I implemented SD-WAN, leveraging both DIA (Direct Internet Access) and RIA (Remote Internet Access). Additionally, I managed and configured the UniFi controller for centralized network control and oversaw the DHCP server, creating scopes for 30+ VLANs to support network segmentation and efficient IP address allocation. This project significantly improved network performance, reliability, and scalability, aligning with the organization’s IT and business goals.
